Moveover chocolates, Indian Mithai is back to reclaim the festive space with a plush makeover by Khoya. This Delhi based artisanal ‘Mithai’ establishment by Sid Mathur, the man behind Asian Hawkers Market and Smoke House Deli, is hell bent on bringing back our traditional desserts with a beautiful selction of handcrafted offerings. Moti choor ke laddo got overshadowed by Ferrero Rocher boxes for too long now at Diwali and Holi because they just couldn’t match up in style and spunk. No more, with the classy offerigns from Khoya.
First up they’re great tasting, 100% fresh organic ingredients are used and they have no added preservatives, artificial colour or flavouring agents! And the packaging is lovely too. Khoya is producing old classics with interesting touches like Besan Laddo made with brown sugar- great talking point with the fitness conscious and quirk loving millenials, who gave up on Indian mithai completely! What’s sure got to get your attention is the fusion Belgium Chocolate Barfi and Walnut Peda.
